Although more than 70% of earth surface is covered with water, only 3% is potable out of which 2% is locked in the form of glacier rapid industrialization and expansion of cities along rivers have polluted majority of rivers of fresh water lakes rivulets and ponds. Our ancestors use to drink water from ponds and rivers. We are presently buying water. Very soon our children will have fixed quota of potable water, as is already happening in big cities. Recently gov of Capetown in South Africa announced it's inability to provide potable water as all fresh water source had dried up paucity of potable water soon result into gost cities and towns.
Extinction of fresh water is happening due to in do greed of certain members of the society who can go to any length to maximize their profit. Due to lack of alternative and substitutes, we are all polluting fresh water bodies knowingly or unknowingly dumping plastic, glass, bottles, puja samagri, plaster of peris idols and other wastes.
Members and well-wishers of World Green Line are actively participating in river cleaning under Swachh Garga Abhiyaan on every Saturday and Sunday for two hour in morning continuously for last 44 weeks nonstop.on 29 Aug 2018 World Green Line mobilized 3000 thousand citizen for Swachh Garga Abhiyaan in which all leaders of the cities of Chas and Bokaro actively participated with their followers making this huge success.
